Our Pastor
Fr. Paschal Ezurike
As your priest I have only one major thing to do - TO LOVE YOU. Loving you with a sincere heart will spur me to be your humble servant. I pray that you appreciate this love so that we all work together for the continuous growth of this awesome parish. I am happy to be part of you.
I was born in Orlu in the eastern part of Nigeria on August 13, 1967, the oldest of the eight children of Paschal and Bernadette Ezurike. My elementary education was undertaken at Practicing School 1 &11 Orlu. From 1980 - 1985, I attended St. Mary's minor Seminary, Umuowa, before attending St. Joseph's Major Seminary, Ikot Ekpene for my bachelor's degree in Philosophy.
In the fall of 1991, I was sent to Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu by Bishop Gregory Ochiagha for my theological studies and was ordained to the Priesthood for the diocese of Orlu, Nigeria by Bishop Gregory Ochiagha on August 26, 1995 at Holy Trinity Cathedral Orlu. After my ordination, I served as parochial vicar and Pastor in different parishes in Orlu.
I came to the U.S.A. in the fall of 2007 at the request of my Bishop. I did a year Clinical Pastoral Education at Oregon State Hospital in Salem. During the course of the program, I helped out in St. Joseph Church in Salem. On July 1st 2008, I was officially assigned to St. Anthony's Parish, Tigard as a parochial vicar. After working for a year in Tigard, I was moved to St. Anne's Parish, Grants Pass for another year to continue in the same capacity.
I am now appointed to serve as the administrator of this peaceful and lovely parish as of July 1, 2010. Finally beloved in Christ, let us always remember that God is good- all the time, and all the time- God is good.
Blessings
